Ghandruk Circuit Trek is an astounding hiking into the lap of alluring Machhapuchhre( Fishtail) experiencing the biggest classical Gurung village in Nepal. Ghandruk Circuit Trek connects us with different popular viewpoints and picturesque traditional settlements include Dhampus, Tolka, Pothana, Landruk and Ghandruk. These villages are very popular for picturesque country settlement and friendly people as well as magnificent mountain views. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna massif, Gangapurna, Himchuli, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu are dominant views of Ghandruk Circuit Trek.

Ghandruk Circuit trek begins from Phedi or Ghattekulo or alternatively begins from Kande and to Asutralian Camp and ends at Nayapool. From Dhampus or Asutralian Camp, we trek via lush rhododendron and natural creeks befriending with friendly ethnic people which finally takes us to mesmerizing traditional Gurung villages include Landruk and Ghandruk. Ghandruk has a few special attractions like Gurung Cultural Museum, German Bakery and a show about Annapurna Conservation Area, the biggest conservation area in the world.

ARRIVE AT KATHMANDU (1300M) AND TRANSFER TO HOTEL

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our staff, who will escort you to the hotel, where our Sherpa guide or the office staff will give you a brief orientation about the hotel, Kathmandu itself, trekking, and the do’s and don’ts of the area. They will also review any additional information that you might require while in Nepal, including an overview of the next day’s sightseeing tour. In the evening, you will enjoy a complimentary welcome dinner at one of the finest traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu, with the necessary transfer to and from the hotel by taxi, bus. GUIDED SIGHTSEEING IN KATHMANDU VALLEY

After your breakfast, you will precede to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you will tour the ancient palace, the temple of Kumari, hailed as the living goddess of Nepal, Hanuman Dhoka and Kasthamandav Temple with a guide knowledgeable about Nepalese history, architecture, and religion. From there, you will proceed by taxi, bus to the Buddhist site, Swoyambhunath Stupa, also known as the “Monkey Temple” because of its lively troops of resident monkeys. You will then visit Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest shrine for Hindus, situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, a popular cremation site. Before returning to the hotel, you will visit Boudhnath Stupa, a Buddhist pilgrimage center and home to many colorful gompas, or monasteries. Once back at the hotel, you will receive a briefing about the trek and have a chance to meet your guides and ask any last minute questions before tomorrow morning’s departure. Overnight in Hotel

DRIVE TO POKHARA (820M) 06 HRS

After an early breakfast, you will then travel by a Tourist Coach towards the scenic Pokhara highway. This is an interesting drive through the foothills of the Himalaya. The road has been greatly improved in recent years. The drive continues with several stops on route before Pokhara. On reaching Pokhara transfer to the Hotel with enough time in the afternoon for a stroll around the beautiful Phewa Lake side. Overnight in Hotel

DRIVE TO NAYAPUL (1070M) 1.5 HRS AND TREK TO GHANDRUK (1940M) 04 HRS

About 25 Km. drives from Pokhara via Naudanda, Kanre, and Lumle village up to Nayapool. From where the trail follows up stream to Birethanti, and continues to follow the Modi River with scenery of high green forest as it follows pleasant trails. After lunch at Syauli bazaar, trek up to Ghandruk (Often spelled as Ghandrung). Overnight at Tea house/Lodge

TREK TO TOLKHA (1700M) 05 HRS

After a great Himalayan breakfast complete with the splendid mountain views; trek down towards the paved courtyards of Ghandruk village past the farm houses and terrace fields. At which point you will reach the Modi River at Phedi between Landruk and Ghandruk. You will cross the Modi Khola (stream), on an exciting suspension bridge with a great view of wild honey bee hives on the rocky cliff. From here, the trail is a slow climb all the way to Landruk village where you will stop for lunch. From here, the path leads to a gradual walk on the winding trail for an hour to a small settlement at Tolkha an overnight stay. Overnight at Tea house/Lodge

TREK TO DHAMPUS PHEDI (1130M) 05 HRS AND DRIVE TO POKHARA 20 MIN

From Tolkha grand view of Annapurna south and Hiunchuli can be seen right from your room. With the lovely morning at Tolkha, our journey continues on the gradual winding path towards Bhaise Kharka a small settlement at the base of the hill, from here less than an hour climb through the beautiful rain forest brings you at the top of the ridge at Deurali the highest point of this trek. From here one can view Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchhre. After Deurali trek down through the lovely forest on the good wide path with wonderful scenery, an hour reaches you at Pothana village situated in the midst of the forest with awesome views of the Annapurna and Manaslu range. After having lunch, trek down to the village at Dhampus with fabulous mountain scenery. From Dhampus an hour descend brings you at Phedi for the smooth drive to Pokhara, on reaching Pokhara by the Phewa Lake side. Overnight at Hotel

DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU

After a wonderful time in the mountains, Pokhara is certainly great spot to relax after the trek and swap stories with fellow trekkers. After breakfast, we will board the bus for about 06 hour’s scenic journey back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel

Keep the departure time of international flight in mind, and make sure to keep your confirmed air ticket and passport handy!
