HOLY MT KAILASH AND MANSAROVAR OVERLAND TOUR

Overview

West of Tibet’s Mount Kailash, a renowned sacred summit at 6714 meters. Mt. Kailash has long been a sacred site for four major religions. For Hindus, it is the home of Shiva. For Tibetan Buddhists, it is the residence of Samvara, a multiarmed, vengeful deity who is revered in the chakrasamvara Tantric cycle. Additionally, Kailash was the holy nine-storey Swastika Mountain in the ancient Bon religion of Tibet, where the Banpo creator Shenrab descended from his sanctuary. The 53-kilometer Kailash Circuit is the center of all Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimages, as well as the main attraction for visitors to western Tibet. According to legend, one Parikarma is sufficient to atone for all of one’s lifetime’s crimes, whereas 108 repetitions are required to reach salvation.
Lake Mansarovar: Sprawling below Mount Kailash is the sacred lake Manasarovar (4580m), where ritual bath will deliver a pilgrim to brahm’s paradise and drink of its water relinquishes the sins of a hundred lifetimes.

TRIP OVERVIEW

Our crew member will embark on a pilgrimage with you to the holy land of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar for Eight days, starting from Kathmandu.
The tour starts off when we cross the borders to Tibet, exploring and making our way to the Holy Mount Kailash. We explore the Holy Mount Kailash and the sacred surroundings. Some major sites we visit during this tour are Mount Kailash, Lake Mansarovar, Rakshasa Taal, and more.
